On May 15, 2024, Dusit Management Company Limited (DMCO), a subsidiary of Dusit Thani Group, held a signing ceremony for a Private Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Marubeni Green Power Asset (MGP). This fixed-rate tariff agreement is not tied to fluctuating electricity tariffs from the authority. This arrangement also mitigates the risk of rising electricity costs.
Dusit Thani Hua Hin Hotel is the third location of Dusit Thani Group to sign a PPA with MGP, following Dusit Thani College and Dusit Princess Srinakarin. Dusit Thani Hua Hin has entrusted MGP to develop a solar power generation system, including both solar rooftop and solar floating installations.
The total installed capacity of 405.96 kWp is expected to produce approximately 50,000 kWh of electricity per month and reduce carbon emissions by as much as 240 tons of CO2 per year, equivalent to planting 13,114 trees annually. This project will generate electricity from clean energy, resulting in both electricity cost savings and carbon dioxide emission reductions.
