Marubeni Green Power Vietnam Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “MAGPOV”), a subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation, announced the successful launch of a new rooftop solar power system for Vietnam Kirin Beverage Co., Ltd. The system, located at the beverage company’s manufacturing facility in Binh Duong Province Vientam, began commercial operation on June 4, 2025.
This project operates under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), a model where MAGPOV handles the development, financing, and installation of the solar system at no upfront cost to the client as well as the ongoing operations and maintenance, ensuring a reliable supply of clean energy.
Project Highlights:
- Client: Vietnam Kirin Beverage Co., Ltd.
- Location: Binh Duong Province, Vietnam
- System ＆ Installed Capacity: Roof Top Solar System, 369 kWp.
- Clean Energy Generation: Expected generation of clean energy approximately 516MWh annually, which will be supplied directly to Vietnam Kirin Beverage to power its manufacturing operations.
- CO2 Reduction: Approximately 340 metric tons annually.
This initiative aligns with Vietnam’s national strategy to increase its renewable energy capacity amidst growing industrial power demand. By adopting this on-site solar PPA, Vietnam Kirin Beverage can achieve electricity cost savings and advance its sustainability objectives, contributing to a greener manufacturing landscape in Vietnam.
Building on the success of this project, MAGPOV will continue to develop and expand its portfolio of decarbonization solutions, including its core rooftop solar business, to actively contribute to Vietnam’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
