Marubeni Green Power donated 8kWp rooftop solar system together with 5kWh battery system to Thai Japanese Association School in Bangkok with the aim of deepening students’ understanding of electricity and renewable energy. The solar panels are used second-hand Japanese-made panels procured from Japan (in collaboration with the project Marubeni Corporation started last year).

We had a donation ceremony on 22 January 2024 and gave a lecture on solar power system for sixth graders in elementary school and for second and third graders in junior high school.
Electricity is essential for humans, and with the growing momentum of ESG and SDGs, it is expected that the importance of renewable energy sources such as solar power will increase, just like other power generation methods. This initiative is to make elementary and junior high school students, who will shape the future, feel solar power as a renewable energy source closer to them and to help them understand it. Marubeni Green Power will actively engage in such social contribution efforts.
